A June Afternoon

I'm baaaaack. All hands on hips. (You can relate to not knowing what to do with your hands right guys...) It's been such a long time! I've been busy finishing off my first semester of uni online and working too. In the meantime I have bought a couple of delicious pieces that I really wanted to share, including this rad long sleeve Spell playsuit! I don't think I will be able to wear it without tights for too much longer though it's starting to get too cold. (My legs are already well and truly in pale winter mode as you can see hehehe but I'm always doing it for the awkward pale girls.) I'm off to Melbourne in a few weeks for a mini break so I'm starting to be on the lookout for some versatile bits and pieces to layer up, stay tuned!

Hey guys :D

me again! In would you guess it, Spell of course. This playsuit is absolutely and utterly so beautiful! I originally wanted the other cut and was a bit bummed when it sold out so when these off-the-shoulder babies came up I knew I had to have one and the pink is just divine. I played around and popped it with a few different things, Spell belt, Birkies, big hat, Dad's old leather jacket. I feel like a bit of a wally in some of these pics (but then again actually I always do) and I once again I had a little struggle with myself about whether to post them, what people would think, why are you doing this. And then I came up with the answer I always come up with. You love it. You would do it even if nobody was seeing it, you've loved playing dress ups since you could walk. A long time ago somebody told me that getting dressed is a really important part of your day, getting dressed in things you love helps you feel more confident, it can be a flag you put up that says, I love this and I've taken care to pick this and I feel damn good in it. So I go on and I put these up and I hope if nothing else that you laugh with me (or judge my Spell obsession heavily hehehe I don't mind) or have the guts to put on a pair of shoes you think are too formal for going out for coffee, or sequins to the bloody supermarket. I've also been thinking a lot lately about self esteem, it's something we're looking into at uni. It's a funny thing to think about your self talk, and lately I've been trying really hard to think of myself as a babe. Haha what a sentence. Because we are all bloody massive babes! 

I know I have been talking in terms of style and appearance here, and it's hard to distinguish it all without sounding a bit shallow I think! Let me clarify here, obviously there is more to life than being ridiculously, ridiculously good looking haha, I think a babe is someone who is brave and kind and loving and who perseveres and I could list on and on and on, I know so many of them!

I also have been cranking along with #freakinbabethursday in my Insty to celebrate all the amazing women who inspire me. Anyway I think that is well and truly enough from me today hahaha

Hi hi hi!

I'm baaack after an extended break that I didn't really mean to have hehehe. I went to Byron and Malaysia and had the best time! While I was in Byron I got a tattoo (if you're on Insty and haven't checked out @merrytattoo, do yourself a favor) which you can see a little of here but I'm sure I'll have an upcoming post where you can see it all a little better. While I was in Byron I picked up this belt from the Spell boutique (as well as the cutest little baby pants for my friend's son) perfect for teaming with my Spell singlet and Wrangler skirt. And thennn while I was in Malaysia I dropped into H&M and got this scarf which I am absolutely in love with, don't wanna take it off! I've just started doing some online units through Southern Cross University which I think is going to keep me pretty busy over the coming semester but I am hoping I still have time to post every now and again because I have missed it so!!

Little Lavender Love

Hi babes!

This will probably be my last post for 2014 so I am feeling a little nostalgic. This is the insane Spell dress I wore on Christmas (helped to cover my tatts in front of my nanna hehehe) as always care of the wonderful Lexi from Lexi and Roy  Along with my fave grey boots I threw on some lippie which made me feel a bit girlier than usual! Following on from my little giveaway of two $50 vouchers (thanks everyone who got involved!) I won a $100 Spell gift voucher, the good karma came back to me! Yet to spend that.. Only a couple of weeks until my Byron/Malaysia adventure and I'm looking forward to lots of adventures in 2015. Made a pact with myself that I'll be moving back east again so we'll see how that plays out! I've learnt a lot of lessons about myself this year, sometimes it has been awful hard. But I've learnt that I can keep going when I thought I couldn't, and I'm really glad that I took the step to start my blog. Even if nobody reads it in the end, I've been able to express myself and my favorite outfits and what more could I ask for! Wishing everyone a safe and happy start to the new year :D

Spellbound

It's no secret that I'm obsessed with Spell Designs. On the verge of the new drop I am utterly f-r-o-t-h-i-n-g hahaha. I know my wishlist for the new drop is going to be a miiiile long. But I have been pretty reflective lately, and I got to thinking, what is even more wonderful than the joy I get from receiving a piece I know I will cherish forever? Someone else's joy. I have always loved clothes, and I started this blog inspired by Spell and a bunch of other wonderful people that I have been able to connect with via Instagram. If I  have then gone on to inspire even one person to express themselves through what they wear, whether it be by introducing them to a new brand or encouraging them to add something special to their wardrobe to kickstart their self confidence, them I am the happiest. Oh heeeeyy

I have had this insane Seadreamer the Label  playsuit in my hot little hands for a while now, and we all know how much I love a good playsuit, but it has taken me forever and a day to post about it. So finally I have! I picked this baby up from Lexi and Roy and I wanted every single other piece there too, not even kidding.So easy to throw on, I'm going to be living in it over the next few months. I teamed it with this mad Minc Collections necklace and one of my other ever favorites, Arnhem, (boots and kimono). I'm only home for the night but it is always nice to get back and see my family and my canine babies, particularly since it's been a busy few weeks in Perth!
